Hi all,
Just got back from the boys hockey game. It was the playoffs for their division. They got to play in the new Bear Mountain Arena. They were up against Sooke against whom they had yet to prevail. Well.......NOT THIS TIME!!!!! Yeah! Our plucky Saanich boys spanked them and won the pennant! 6 to 3. Usually Sooke beats everybody by double digits. Our team was the only one that managed to stay within 1 or 2 goals of them, which is, of course, why were came into the playoffs in second place. Sooke proved to be rather sore losers, however, and had to be 'helped' out of the arena by the ref's. They weren't used to losing.
Anyways, I treated them all to many, many timbits and we all clapped as they came out. Much rejoicing! The only bad bit was we lost our star defenceman to what appears to be a broken collarbone. We'll miss him at the Richmond tournament.
This is going to be short as I really must get back to the homework....will be VERY glad when this course is over (April 8th!)
